INDIAN FESTIVALS

high spirits, buzzing markets, shops, footpaths full of flowers, mango leaves indicate festivals are ahead.preparations   are on at homes, shops and markets. The markets are busy round the clock with buyers, sellers and suppliers. The cost of the items shoot up due to high demand, and people are not price sensitive anymore. All they know is to celebrate the festival to the best of their ability.
India is country of religions.on Average it has around 10 festivals a month. Each one of these festivals have a different significance and a different reason to celebrate. But these days celebrations matter more than significance. The purpose is lost.
Before it is celebrated one should Ask themselve the 5'W' (what,why,who,when &how)i.e.

  • WHAT has to be celebrated?
  • WHY it has to be celebrated?
  • WHO has to celebrate it?
  • WHEN should it be celebrated? and the most Important
  • HOW should it be celebrated?
Unless we understand these things, the true purpose of celebrating the festival is lost. And our next generation lose interest in this. And the tradition is lost.

Its better late then never.LETs celebrate the festival by knowing the true purpose behind it and not just for the sake of celebrating it.
